2022 Club Day Results

“Hello, my name is Jessie, and I am a member of the Solid Rock 4-H Club…” this is how I began all of my Club Day presentations as a 4-H member. And regardless of whether I earned a purple or white (yes, I did get a white once) I learned something each time.

This past weekend, February 12, Johnson County 4-H held its 2022 4-H Club Day at Village on Antioch Presbyterian Church in Overland Park. 4-H Club Day is an event which gives participants an opportunity to tell others about their 4-H projects and demonstrate their talents and abilities. Presentations such as talks, demonstrations, speeches, skits, music and dance are judged and awarded ribbons.

There were 192 presentations overall. Those receiving top purples will have the chance to move forward to Regional Club Day scheduled for March 26 in Ottawa, KS.

Planning committee members included: Lydia L. of Great Plains; Maddie, Nathan, and Heather A. of Lucky Clovers; Abby L. of Lucky Clovers; Missy and Ben B. of Morning Glory; Heather and Fern S. of Oxford Hustlers; Don and Hannah L. of Prairie Moon; Audrey and Colton S. of Prairie Moon; Alisa K. of Country Hearts; and Corinne and Caroline D. of Stanley Buccaneers.

The concession stand was put on by the Johnson County 4-H Ambassador team. They sold baked goods, hot dogs, sandwiches, and drinks. All funds raised go back to the Ambassador team to help create scholarships for 4-H members to attend camps and conferences.

Those receiving top purple include:
