Celebrate National Youth Confidence Day

 

 

October 20th, 2024 is National Youth Confidence Day!

Building a framework of positive role models is vital to developing responsible, confident young adults an done of the biggest driving factors within the 4-H program. Incidentally, National Youth Confidence Day, on October 20, encourages us to connect and inspire today's youth for tomorrow's success. National Youth Confidence Day celebrates the spirit and potential of young people.

How can I observe National Youth Confidence Day?

• • Share stories from youth who inspire you
  • Hearing about youth inspires us to feel more confident. Share a story about a young person who inspires you. From overcoming an obstacle or achieving academic success, to helping someone in the community, it's all about being uniquely them. If you have a great example of a youth in our community who inspires you we want to celebrate them! Send any stories our way at joco4-h@jocogov.org

Encourage youth to make their best better!

• • Show a young person in your life you care. Provide them with the tools to reach their potential. Most importantly, offer them the knowledge, skills and know-how to build their confidence. Above all, by planting a seed and watching it grow, you celebrate their achievement.
  • Always remember, we are the examples of confidence for the leaders of tomorrow. Being that person that youth can turn to, ask questions, make mistakes, and learn from is an invaluable role. Johnson County 4-H is always willing to find a place for your talents through volunteering at the Johnson County Fair or leading a county wide STEM activity we can help you build the confidence of today’s youth.
