Happy 4-H New Year!

October marks the start of a new 4-H year and if you have been wondering if 4-H is a good fit for your family, this will be the perfect opportunity to attend a 4-H club meeting. When you walk into a 4-H Club meeting, you will see families coming together, youth taking leadership, and learning by doing.

About 4-H:

In 4-H, we believe that every child has valuable strengths and real influence to improve the world around us. 4-H is America’s largest youth development organization - empowering nearly six million young people across the U.S. with the skills to lead for a lifetime.

With 19 community clubs in the county, there are many opportunities for youth to learn and grow. Find a list of 4-H Clubs at https://www.johnson.k-state.edu/4-h/about-join/clubs/.

Why Choose 4-H?

  • It is a family program - one program for your entire family.
  • There is something for every child - With over 30 project areas to choose from, there is something for every child.
  • Opportunities to participate in club, county, regional, state, and national events.
  • Opportunities to develop leadership and find peer and adult role models in your community.
  • 4-H’ers practice public speaking with every project in a safe and welcoming environment.
