Dining with Diabetes

Do you want to learn more about managing or preventing type 2 diabetes? Do you need tips on making simple and lasting changes to live a healthier lifestyle? Contact us to see how we can help!

Our Dining with Diabetes program is designed for participants at risk for developing type 2 diabetes, diagnosed prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, or caretakers and support persons for individuals with type 2 diabetes.

Topics covered include:

  • Planning healthy meals and snacks
  • Modifying recipes
  • Understanding the nutrition label
  • Practicing portion control
  • Increasing physical activity
  • Developing SMART goals

We offer in-person or online programming led by our Registered Dietitian.

In-person classes meet for 2 hours once a week for four weeks with a three-month follow-up class. In-person classes include diabetes education, food demonstration and tastings, fun low-impact activity, and simple tips to move towards a healthier lifestyle.
