About Silver Clovers

According to the CDC, loneliness and social isolation in older adults are serious public health risks due to living alone, the loss of family or friends, chronic illness and hearing loss. Studies show social isolation can significantly increase a person’s risk of premature death from all causes, along with many other adverse health effects. The pandemic intensified this condition for Johnson County’s fastest growing population--older adults.

Johnson County Extension responded by offering a series of events, both online and in-person, to connect residents while offering opportunities to improve skills and increase knowledge in a variety of program areas.
