July 2023 Financial Check In
The budget is not just a collection of numbers, but an expression of our values and aspirations. – Jacob Lew
Christmas in July
Start setting aside money for your holiday spending now. Determine a monthly amount you can set aside in a separate savings account dedicated to holiday spending. Start saving a little bit each month and your future self will thank you when you have a stash of cash come December.
Create a debt inventory
Make a list about each of your debts, including the balances, interest rates, and minimum monthly payments. Creating a debt inventory gives you a clear picture of your financial situation and is the first step toward managing debt intentionally.
Enjoy a spontaneous activity
Spontaneous fun does not have to be expensive. Summertime is full of community-hosted events that are free or very low cost. Take advantage of these low-cost, fun activities!
Don’t Bust your July and August Budget.
